Welcome to Day One of the 10 Days of Outsourcing to Your Virtual Assistant!
I'm going to coach you through the process of working with a VA by showing you a sample task you could send to your VA today to make your life easier and free up your time to work on the true business building tasks.
So, join me for this blog series - for only a few moments - to read through the things you could unload onto a VA quite easily. The first step to working with a VA is understanding what it is that they can do for you and just how EASY it is to get there.
The format will always be the same (without this intro text) and it will be quick, painless and easy to read in a matter of minutes. I want to illustrate just how easy it really is!
Let's begin! If you have any questions along the way, please feel free to e-mail me:)
Delegation Day One
Problem: You're spending too much time on the computer adding your listings, listing photos, videos, and virtual tours to your various websites, Craigslist, syndication sites, and keeping up with updates, price changes, as well as migrating the information to your Active Rain blog, your hosted blog, and Social Media sites.
Solution: Delegating these tasks to a real estate virtual assistant can eliminate those hours from your week or month and allows you TIME to spend on your "income-producing hours" like power calling your leads, touching your contacts with the letters and emails you never seem to get around to. Your VA will systemize, and automate your task list to ensure a successful listing launch every time!
There's one good reason to delegate something to a VA!
A real estate virtual assistant is like the missing piece of your business' puzzle. Having someone available to you to help you with the the 'small stuff' while you focus on the big picture - the things that will earn you the most income is key. Once you get that into place, you'll be growing your business faster than ever before.
(P.S. If you don't want to wait for the rest of the series and are needing more info..check out Real Estate Virtual Assistants: The ULTIMATE GUIDE)

Love it! Great tips for all of us. I do find myself so wrapped up trying to keep up with listings and the day to day dull drum items that you listed. Looking foward to your next topic!
I am intrigued. You make some good points. Email me and give me some pertinent data about pricing etc.. Thanks...
Laura,
Interesting, I'll follow he steps over yopur "series". I need some assistance without having to put someone on the payroll.

Hi Elizabeth~ Sometyimes things like that get away from you and before you know it you've wasted lots of hours in a month working IN your business and not ON it..which is a must for 2009:)
Hi Debra~ I certainly will do that. Thanks in advance for the consideration..the little things go a long way.
Hi Brian~ You bet. I'll be putting out a little of what a VA can help with, and over time if you added it all up, it would equal quite a bit of time for you to work on your business and grow. Short and sweet.
Great post Laura! This is going to be a wicked series. Delegating is extremely hard for a lot of people, but I think if they can clearly see the benefit from taking this step, they will realize what a world of difference it can make for their business. You are off to great start. I look forward to your next installment. Keep 'em coming.
do you charge hourly or by the task...also what sites will you use to syndicate my listings to
Laura, delegation is a key to working with a Virtual Assistant. I look forward to your series.
HI Jen~ Thanks, and you are so right. Its hard for many to delegate, but with all there is to keep up with these days consistency is key.
Hi Anonymous~ I do both. If you'd like to contact me I can send you more info on the syndication. Thanks for commenting:)
Laura - I subscribed to you a few weeks ago... So glad that I did, can't wait for the next edition of your series
great idea, I have been considering a VA for a lot of tasks.
Hi Gary~ thanks for your support..delegation is key when you feel you aren't getting everything accomplished, but can't quite hire full time support and train them to boot.
Hi Debbie~ Thanks for subscribing! I just started following you on Twitter..so now I'll subscribe as well..:)
I look forward to following this series, since a Virtual Assistant is definately on my radar for this year.
what should I be asking my VA to do for me? Laura
Hi Laura - oh you have no idea how this just happens to come along at a time when I need it most. I've been frozen a bit trying to figure out just how to move forward and take care of all the things in my business Bear did for me, and the things you've listed above are just the tip of the iceberg for some of the very things he did in my business that are now falling to me. And with this post, you're showing me a way to be able to move out of the zone I'm stuck in.
Thank you for writing this post, and for showing me that there just may be some light at the end of the tunnel for me yet. Would you mind if I contacted you to talk with you about this further?
Ann
I'm looking forward to the rest. I'm keeping this as a starting point for a VA. I'm not going to get one until I know exactly what they are going to do and figure out the return.
Hi Margaret~ Good for you..if there are ever any questions you may have feel free to contact me. Sometimes brainstorming is the best way to start!
Hi Sonny~ I'll covering many ideas in the series, but check out another series Real estate Virtual Assistants: The Ultimate Guide I've listed a lot of example tasks.
Hi Ann~ I would be honored to talk to you:) Sometimes its just unclogging on or two items off your day that can get you out of the "Stuck Zone" and move you forward.
Hi Mike~ Very good decision. I've placed a link above to another blog series that might be helpful too.
Thanks for giving examples of how you use a VA. I'm in the insurance business but this still did help!
Tom Larsen
A VA is a good idea. Waiting to see the next post.
I've definitely got a VA on my "wish" list and hoping to have the ability to move it to my "have to have" list soon!
I'm looking forward to hearing more!
Thanks for sharing this post. I will be following the post to see how to maximize a VA.
VERY interesting. I can't wait for the next step...I'll check it out!!! Thanks Robin
Hi Laura, congrats on the feature post!
Once I start taking more than a couple of listings at a time, I promise you that you are my "go to" VA!
Laura, Excellent post - love the way you laid this out! Once again you are sharing such important information with the real estate community so they can focus on what truly matters - their customers and growing their business. You continue to be an inspiration to me as well as many VA's. Congrats on the feature my friend. ~Anne Marie
Laura - right now I have Kelley, my part-time assistant doing those things. I am very interested in the rest of your series. I think there are some things that maybe even she doesn't need to do.
Great post Laura, can't wait for the rest of the series.
great post. I have used a VA, and have formed one of Michael Russer's ETEAMS. I believe in outsourcing. Thank you
