Point2 At it Again! Launches Partnership with Facebook

OK, Who can deny that social networking is becoming a top tool for real estate professionals?

Point 2 Agent  launches a new partnership with Facebook. Facebook has over 30 million members with 150,000 joining every week.  So...Point 2 is offering a membership application to Facebook which will allow you to join a "neighborhood", and add info and connect to those who live there.

Not only that, but the Point 2 NLS system, will soon start syndication of your listings to Facebook, once you have a profile. This partnership is its beginning stages but with the website you can get through Point2 , its a great way to increase your on-line presence, especially if you are already using Facebook.

Just thought I'd pass on the news.... ;)

I saw this the other day. I added the neighborhood appilcation before I knew it was from point 2. I was so happy after the fact since my website is through them. How cool is that.

This is great, but I feel like all I'm doing lately is adding my information tomore and more website networks.  How do I choose which ones to keep maintained and updated?

I was notified of this this morning. Didn't quite know what it was all about. I guess I'll take another look. Thanks

Marcus~ Thanks for commenting...and your welcome:)

Ryan~ It's worth looking into I think...especially if you are already familiar with Facebook.

Piero~ I know, it is getting overwhelming. Every week I add more and more online marketing to my weekly tasks. It's important to try new things and track your efforts for success. Then if one or the other is not receiving much success, I would say drop it for a bit and focus where you are finding success. However, with Point2 technologies...I think this one is worth it;)

Pam~ Yes, me too. I just can't believe how many features Point2 is offering...the list keeps growing. I'll be looking into it a bit more, so if you try and have any feedback to share, let me know;)

Laura....  I haven't even looked at facebook as of yet. Just so much to try and look at and not enough time.

Laura have you had much success in meeting leads off of your facebook coverage?

I would just like to see the Point2 pages load faster. They have been so slow all week who has time to network? Socially or antisocially. In Windows you can do a restore point. Point2 needs to use a restore point of about June1.

Thanks for bringing that to our attention, Laura. I had missed it!!

Thank you Laura.  I have been "Test Diving" a Point2 site and was debating as to whether I should keep it or not.  The more I read about what Point2 is doing the more it interests me.  They seem really agressive as you have just pointed out.  Thanks again and have a great evening.

Suzanne~No problem;) Point 2 partnerships are a very nice advantage, and are doing a great job keeping on top of all the trends~

Matthew~ OK, I know about the first Point 2 site, but I'll check yours out as well~

George~Thanks for stopping and commenting! The partnerships are great. Many of my clients are already utilizing the syndications outside of their Point 2 sites, but with both together it's a double wammy. I even noticed the other day the the new KWLS system is syndicating their listings to Point2 Homes.

Posted by Real Estate Virtual Assistant Laura Monroe (Creative Agent Solutions.com (916)343-3823) over 2 years ago

Matthew, the other Point2 group that I was referring to was started by Jay Thompson, not me. It doesn't get a a lot of traffic in spite of P2A's large membership, so I personally would love to see unified participation in the existing group.

George, what is the KWLS system that you referred to?  I'm a big fan of P2A's syndication. Last week one of my clients got a seller lead from Point2Homes.com even before his web site was finished. He's on vacation so I don't know yet whether he got the contract but he probably did since the seller called because my client specializes in the seller's historic neighborhood. His old AA site, several years old, had never even achieved any page rank, so having his historic neighborhood listings on Point2Homes.com come up on Google's first page was a huge benefit.

And, of course, another huge benefit of having a P2A site is that you could work with a sweet, beautiful VA like Laura! -:)

Suzanne~ You are too sweet;)  I was the one who mentioned the KWLS, which is the new listing system for Keller Williams. Kind of like Point 2's NLS but Keller Williams branded. They set up the system so they have the opportunity to brand their own IDX listings, with syndication partners, Point 2 Homes being one of them.

man! I got to spend more time at Point 2 . This where the business is heading folks! facebook is huge. Now bigger than most sites like E-bay!  I figure if you get your system set up utilizing all these new systems - there won't be any trouble winning listing presentations!

Hi Paul~ Well if its any indication...soon we won't have to leave our Point 2 sites and keep dropping all of our listings elsewhere..Point 2 has it covered!

Oh wow, Laura! The client I mentioned above is a KW client. All the more reason for excitement.  Do you know where I could read more about the KWLS?
Posted by Suzanne Stephens ~ Myrsol, Point2Agent & Wordpress Design (Stephens Design) over 2 years ago
I'm not sure how much is out there about it outside of the Keller Williams Market Center information for its agents...but there might be some more info on the KW Rainers Group.  You can check that out. It went into full force about a month ago~  Here's a good one I just found here on AR: KWLS

Hi all.  I'm new to AR and have been a P2 Standard Member for several years.  I'm wondering how to take advantage of this new Facebook connection.  I recently signed up after the notification from P2.  My teenagers found out and said, "Dad, that's gross!"  Now their friends are adding me as friends!  I have to say it's a little weird to have these kids who grew up with mine adding me as a friend.

Anyway, any suggestions how to take advantage of this whole thing?

Laura - Just got my point2 site up and running a few weeks ago and decided to join facebook as well. I joined the point2 group on facebook. I agree social marketing is going to be where it's at going forward. Check out my point2 site at Sell My Home in Metrowest MA for Massachusett's Real Estate.

I have a Point2Agent site and have been on there trying to find out how you connect to Facebook but have not figured it out.  Is there someplace on Point2 where you connect?

I'd be interested in others stories of how successful Point2Agent sites are with generating leads for buyers. I hear the listings side gets good exposure.

Thanks Suzanne. Looks like DJ had the premium site and was getting a good response on his listings. I didn't see any notes on the buyer side with attracting buyers as clients for his area other than for his listings.
Posted by Gary Woltal - Associate Broker REALTOR® Dallas Ft. Worth (Keller Williams Realty) over 2 years ago
You're wecome Gary. DJ has a Professional site. I have several ciients who report good results attracting buyers. Diana Russell, of RealEstateUtah.com, was averaging about 5 buyers a month last time I talked with her. GoArmyHomes.com gets 3-4 emails per day as well as 3-4 phone calls; many of their buyers are conversions from rental inquiries. Joe Janus, JoeJanus.com, was contacted by a prospective $3 MIL buyer last week.
