Thoughts of the Day... Colors and Branding.
I love color. I'm also in the middle of changing up my branding and stumbled across this great little nugget. Although my colors have been chosen, now I at least know WHY I chose them..for how they made me feel. What do your colors say about you? Is this attracting your target market?

Very interesting, Laura. What colors did you choose? We almost chose a lime green, but then we realized that if we wanted to wear branded shirts, both of us look awful in lime green. We went with a burgundy red instead, and it was a much better choice.
I chose greens for my logo and marketing materials. Fun video!
Laura - loved this video. There is a powerful message there. It got me thinking some about some changes.

Hi Laurie~ I chose blue as my main color with a splash of orange and spring green:) I'm always attracted to words like "fresh" and "energetic", so it really suits me:)
Hi Ginger~ I love blue! Blue and red..that would make a very pwerful statement I think considering the attributes they represent..don't you?
Hi Renee~ I think that video is one for the reference section on our desks! I've always loved your logo..very strong and colorful Renee
Hi Cathy~ I've been totally into greens as well! I'm loving them! good call:)
Hi Jeff~ I am one that quite frequently is driven by emotion (I picked our house because I liked the paint colors)..so color impresses me first, and causes me to make decisons based on that sometimes..it just jumps out at me:)
Laura,
What a fun post! Thanks for sharing this color video. Yes color branding is a very important part of marketing any business. My color choice... GREEN!
Laur, That is a compelling video. Thanks for sharing it. Makes you think about the impact of color in our decision making process. It just wouldn't seem right if Kings and Queens donned a bright yellow robe or if New York's cabs were chartreuse green.
Hi Laura,
nice job, thanks for sharing!
Haven't seen you on twitter lately :-)

This was good...and while I chose my colors for our new website for other reasons, this still makes our choice dead on....Blue and Yellow.
Thanks....and it was a great video just to watch....loved the music and the message!
I chose blue a few years ago. After watching this video I'm sure glad I did. It was extremely interesting and quite informative. The music reminded me of an exercise video.
